Silicoids - a silicon organic form of life. The Silicoid race is the oldest form of life. According to unconfirmed data they are coeval with the Forerunners. This is the only intelligent form of life based on hydrogen reducing reactions and not on oxidative reactions, reactions with fluorine or other oxidizing agents. The typical representative of the silicoid race represents a predominantly amorphous ball weighting up to 280 kg, moving simply by spilling all over. In spite of the invertebrate body structure, the Silicoids can easily modify not only the form of their body (even up to conferring them a shape similar to extremities), but also the structure of these body parts, up to imparting them the characteristics of rock crystal. The method of communication between Silicoids is also very original. They communicate by changing the gravitational field around themselves of their own free will! Their communication method is very simple and yet is the most efficient of all methods invented by nature. The distance is not an issue for Silicoids, information exchange is performed instantly at any distance. Due to their capacity of changing the gravitational field the Silicoids have created the most efficient engines, which have only one deficiency - they are working only near to large mass of substance. That is exactly why the expansion of this race was limited before they received the hyperpassage technology from Humanoids. For communication with other races the gravitational field is transformed into sound field or into body language. For the reason that such a transformation takes a lot of time and energy the Silicoids are reputed as slow-coach creatures, the society structure is unknown. But this is the most conservative and, at the same time, the most peaceful race of the Universe. Silicoids are reproducing (if this term can be applied to the process of creation of new individuals from a special kind of sand) after the image of the creator (the parent) only once in their lifetime. All the knowledge cumulated by the race is stored practically forever on a special kind of rock crystal. By influencing on them with gravitation fields you can read or write information. Presently the most of memory devices are using such principles.
